Using DEV/STATION

These terms apply to the DEV/STATION website and Android application. DEV/STATION is a community for discovering, submitting, saving, and reviewing developer portfolios. By creating an account, submitting work, or using community features, you agree to these terms and our community guidelines and submission rules. If you do not agree, do not use those features.

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirements for your country to use Discord sign-in and comply with applicable law. If you are under the legal age to enter an agreement where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these terms with you.

02 / DEV/STATION

Your account

You may browse public work as a guest. Features such as submissions, ratings, and saves require a signed-in account. Provide accurate information, use an account you are authorized to use, and keep your account and device secure. Do not impersonate someone else, share access to bypass limits, or create accounts to manipulate community results.

Discord handles authorization and Supabase handles our account sessions. When requested during authorization, permission to join our Discord server is shown by Discord. Discord's own terms apply to its services. Tell the DEV/STATION team if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

03 / DEV/STATION

Work you submit

Only submit a portfolio or project you created or are authorized to represent. For collaborative work, describe your contribution and credit collaborators. You must have permission to share the title, description, thumbnail, links, and other material you provide. Do not submit another person's work as your own or include private information without permission.

You retain ownership of your work. You grant DEV/STATION a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, process, resize, and display the material you submit to operate the showcase, portfolio pages, search results, and community selections. This permission does not transfer ownership of your project or its source code to us.

Approved submissions are public and may be indexed by search engines. Uploaded images can have public media URLs before approval, so never upload confidential material. To request removal or report an ownership concern, contact the team through the community server. Removal from DEV/STATION cannot guarantee removal of copies held by search engines or other third parties.

Ratings, comments, and recognition

Rate the work fairly and leave constructive feedback. Optional comments submitted with ratings are public. Do not post harassment, threats, hate speech, private contact details, spam, or misleading claims. You remain responsible for the comments you publish.

Accounts receive ten ratings per two-day cycle across the website and Android app, with one rating per portfolio and no self-rating. The heart saves a portfolio; it does not cast a vote. Do not use bots, coordinated fake accounts, or other methods to manipulate ratings, saves, views, awards, or contributor counts.

Community scores and editorial selections express opinions, not professional certification or a guarantee of a developer's ability. Featured placements and awards are subject to the published selection process and may change following moderation or corrected results.

Review and moderation

Submission does not guarantee approval or a featured placement. We may check links and images, ask for proof of ownership or contribution, and approve, reject, or remove submissions that violate these terms or our published rules. Automated checks are screening tools and do not prove ownership or guarantee that an external website is safe.

Changes to an approved portfolio are sent for review while the existing published version remains visible. We may remove comments, restrict features, or suspend accounts for abuse, security concerns, or rule violations. You can contact the team to ask about a decision or request a review.

Boosters and supporter features

Discord Server Boosts are managed by Discord and are subject to Discord's terms, billing, and refund policies. DEV/STATION verifies eligible server booster status to provide the perks described on the site. Recognition, badges, access, and priority features depend on eligibility and the availability of the service; they do not guarantee an award, score, or editorial selection.

Eligible booster submissions may receive automatic acceptance only when the required submission checks pass. Booster status does not permit unsafe content, copied work, or abuse. Review-time estimates are targets and may be affected by reviewer availability. Perks may change, and any separately offered paid service must explain its price and applicable terms before purchase.

Drafts, privacy, and removal

Website drafts are associated with your account. Android drafts are stored on the current phone and do not synchronize to the website. Drafts are intended to expire 24 hours after the last saved change or meaningful edit; device execution, outages, and cleanup backlogs may delay deletion. Keep your own copy of important work. Uninstalling, clearing storage, or signing out can remove local drafts.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookies & Storage notice explain how we handle personal information and storage. You can request account or content removal through the team, including the account-deletion request feature in Android. A request is not immediate deletion; we may verify your identity and explain any records we need to retain for security, disputes, or community integrity. Nothing in these terms removes your applicable privacy rights.

Acceptable use and external links

Do not upload malware, deceptive links, unlawful content, or material that infringes another person's rights. Do not attempt unauthorized access, extract private data, evade account restrictions, or disrupt the service with automated traffic. Ask the team for permission before security testing that could affect the live service or other users.

Portfolio links lead to websites operated by their creators. We do not control their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. A listing, preview, score, or badge is not a guarantee or endorsement of products or services offered on an external site. Report suspicious content to the team.

09 / DEV/STATION

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep DEV/STATION useful and available, but access can be interrupted by maintenance, provider outages, or other problems. Features, quotas, and supported versions may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, publication, employment opportunities, or any particular result from showcasing your work.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without additional warranties, and DEV/STATION is not responsible for indirect losses caused by outages, external websites, or other users' content. This does not exclude responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limit any mandatory consumer or privacy rights.

Updates and contacting the team

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. We will provide notice on the site or through community announcements for material changes and explain when they take effect. If you disagree with an update, stop using the affected features and contact us about removing your account or content.

For questions, moderation appeals, ownership reports, or account requests, contact the DEV/STATION team through the community link below. Include the relevant portfolio link and enough information to explain the issue; do not send passwords or login tokens.
