Carl Macabales · AI & Software Engineer

About This Portfolio

This is Carl Macabales's personal portfolio at cemmacabales.com. It's a single-page React 19 + Vite site laid out as a bento grid of tiles that open into fuller stories, including Centient, the featured project backed by a $5k grant, his nnU-Net kidney segmentation thesis, his experience, and his setup. It also has an AI assistant that answers questions about his work, served through a Netlify Function on Groq, and a WebGPU background animation. It's built to WCAG AAA contrast with Electric Mint as the only accent color, prerendered for SEO, and deployed on Netlify with privacy-respecting PostHog analytics.
